DREAM OF MONOXIDE
Last night, it was raining and I had seen a wet Turkey in the backyard earlier that day: I had the most vivid dream. I think it was because of some pain killers I had taken for my achy back.
Here goes, this is the lucid dream I remembered so clearly.... sort of, haha....It felt like summer 1995.
We (myself and Jillian) were driving north, up Tramway Boulevard passed that McDonalds on Montgomery. We were in my Chevrolet Blazer. When suddenly at a street corner, I saw Monoxide (my favorite rapper lol) on the median with some young guys, peddling their music merchandise. They were so energetic and full of life, it inspired me.
So we immediately pulled off Tramway to the right. There were some new utility shacks there and a narrow parking lot with some skater punks hanging around. I got out of my car and walked around awhile but never found Monoxide, Jillian just seemed to disappear as well, not interested.
So I sat on the curb with some skater chick and chatted her up for five minutes. There were some leftover music t-shirts on a wall but nobody around wanted them. Weird sizes. They were a light grey green, with a liney design and none of the young punks thought they were cool. The girl did not want one so I did not either, lol. We just sat there behind the utility shacks until everyone but us lost interest and left. Alone together now, the skater girl reached over a touched my lap. I knew what was happening. I closed my eyes and went with it. This was my reward for agreeing with her opinion about the t-shirts.
After, I saw the City had built some pigeon coops, up on some boulders off the road. But the buzzards had taken over the coops and were huge from eating pigeons. Like all buzzards, they were terrible.
I walked around the sidewalk into a dark concrete hallway looking for a public restroom, all the while fearing one of those buzzards would walk around a corner. The government lights were weak and orangey, I kept thinking a buzzard was walking up on me, but it wasn't there, thank goodness.
